Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR/EMF)
All electrical equipment produce harmful electromagnetic radiation known as EMR or EMF (Electromagnetic Fields).
The difference between exposure to Ionizing and Non-Ionizing radiation
Non-ionizing radiation has wavelengths that cover great distances and basically blanket us inside the wave.
Ionizing radiation, caused by the smaller wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum is potentially extremely dangerous to human health. Prime examples are x-rays and gamma rays, where the energy of the radiation will directly remove electrons from any atom coming in contact with it, and hence "ionizing" the atoms. This can cause direct DNA damage and mutation if enough of these interactions occur.
Ionizing Radiation
-Immediate Effects.
Non-Ionizing Radiation
-Long term risk. Cumulative.
